This is not a post about a book or a book that is now a movie. It is just me here acknowledging the passing of a writer who was also an artist and musician, but best of all my sister, Paula. She made her transition, her way home as some say, this last Sunday morning. I will honor her creativity here from time to time. But for now, please bear with me as I walk through these days, as there will undoubtedly be periods of silence from me here. Thank you for your patience.
Fiction writer and author, Tanya D. Dawson, has written a story for the young adult in all of us. Her pending novel, Andersen Light: A Mystic Creek Novel [working title], is an atypical tale set in our everyday reality alongside an unknown world of extraordinary others. This becoming-who-you-are adventure breathes fresh air and light into the often dark and apocalyptic world of YA fiction, without giving up the angst or the weird. While Andersen Light is primarily set the fictional town of Mystic Creek, Oregon, Tanya lives and works in the American Southwest.
Sorry to hear of your loss. We will be praying for her and all those that loved her.
Thank you, Jeff. You’re the best.
Love, Tanya

Heya! I understand this is kind of off-topic but I
had to ask. Does operating a well-established blog such as yours require a massive amount
work? I am brand new to writing a blog however I do write in my journal every day.
I’d like to start a blog so I can easily share my experience and feelings
online. Please let me know if you have any kind of suggestions or tips for brand new aspiring bloggers.
Appreciate it!
Dear Adelaide,
I am hopeful that you have taken the plunge and have created your blog site and have begun your writing. Keeping a blog active can be overwhelming at times, but like everything else, you will find your rhythm. One thing you hear again and again is to be consistent with your posting. As you can see, I have not been active since my sister’s transition, but announced beforehand to explain my hiatus. People are human and they get it. My suggestion is that you strive for consistency and be kind to yourself and your readers.
I wish you the very best in your future endeavors.
Tanya
